Located in the centre of Ballater, just off from the main street, the amenities of the village are on your doorstep. Set within the Conservation Area, and as part of the Cairngorm National Park there is much to see and do in the area, including Balmoral Castle and Estate just 8 miles away, hillwalking, golf, fishing, cycling, historical castles, skiing and many other outdoor pursuits.

The fundamental principles of our general investment philosophy, which are epistemic humility and pragmatism, permeate all of our work. You’ll identify them as the recurring trait, a “leit-motif”, in all of our portfolios. Both principles reflect our conviction that having a responsive awareness of the limits of one’s own knowledge and acting accordingly helps to mitigate the cost of negative outcomes and to adapt to actual circumstances. Such conviction propels us and guides us to achieve our goals responsibly.

About the owners

My husband George and I bought the plot of land in 2014 after many years of visiting Ballater and falling in love with the village and surrounding area.  Finally beginning the build in 2020 and completing work in 2022 along with much help from friends, family and local tradespeople.

It would be our pleasure to welcome you to our cottage and we are sure you will have many happy moments on your holiday here in Ballater.
